Duration: 12 Months with Possible Extension

Work Schedule: Full-Time, Onsite, Monday–Friday

Overtime: Approximately 15%; must be flexible to support weekends, holidays, and planned shutdowns as needed

Travel: Approximately 15% domestic travel

Position Summary

We are seeking a Digital Engineering / CAD Engineer to support manufacturing and production engineering projects in a high-volume industrial environment. This role will focus on digital engineering, production preparation, equipment and process planning, facility and line layouts, and 2D/3D modeling.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience with Autodesk design and engineering tools , manufacturing layouts, engineering drawings, project coordination, and digital modeling. This individual will work closely with production and engineering teams to improve planning accuracy, manufacturing efficiency, project execution, and production readiness.

Key Responsibilities

Support digital engineering activities for manufacturing and production-related projects.

Create, revise, and maintain product operation, process, equipment, utility, and production line drawings.

Develop and maintain 2D and 3D manufacturing layouts and engineering models.

Perform 3D model comparisons, overlays, and design evaluations.

Create and evaluate building, equipment, and manufacturing layouts using digital modeling and visualization tools.

Support production line simulations, capacity studies, and process improvement initiatives.

Collect and evaluate point cloud scan data for facility and equipment studies.

Develop detailed equipment and utility installation drawings.

Support projects from concept and feasibility studies through equipment and process validation.

Coordinate project activities, including planning, scheduling, reporting, and communication with cross-functional teams.

Investigate and implement new digital engineering tools and methods to improve planning accuracy and efficiency.

Prepare technical documentation, reports, and presentations.

Required Qualifications

Strong experience with Autodesk applications , including:

Navisworks

Revit

Vault / Vault Data Structure

ReCap

Recent hands-on experience with both 2D and 3D CAD/design tools .

Experience creating and interpreting:

Product drawings and models

Process drawings and models

Equipment drawings and models

Experience with project planning, coordination, time management, and reporting.

Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Project.

Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.

Bachelor's degree in Engineering preferred.

Candidates with a technical degree in CAD/CAE or equivalent education and 3+ years of relevant CAE/CAD or Digital Engineering experience will also be considered.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in automotive or high-volume manufacturing environments.

Experience supporting powertrain, machining, assembly, or automated production operations.

Experience with manufacturing equipment and process specifications.

Experience with Creo or other 3D CAD platforms.

Experience utilizing and analyzing point cloud data .

Experience with production line simulation, digital manufacturing, or virtual factory planning.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a hands-on Digital Engineering, CAD, Manufacturing Layout, or Production Engineering professional with strong Autodesk expertise and recent experience working with both 2D and 3D models. They should be comfortable supporting manufacturing projects, coordinating multiple stakeholders, creating detailed engineering documentation, and working onsite in a fast-paced production environment.
