Currently we have an Electrical Design Engineer role open. As a member of the Design Engineering team, one will be responsible for designing and developing electrical circuits and controls for products that meet company goals of Safety, Quality, Cost and Delivery.Essential functions of the position include:Investigate and develop cost-effective electrical systems governing the performance and/or design of a new or existing product addressing circuit logic, current loads, resistance, amperage, and voltage using the appropriate calculationsPrepare and check detail drawings for accuracy and conformance to Link-Belt Design PoliciesCreate electrical system schematics that guide the crane control architectureInteract with suppliers to obtain component information and identify/select electrical components for mobile equipment applicationsPrepare, check and/or revise engineering orders and bills of materials per Link-Belt Design PoliciesInterpret electrical standards relevant to mobile equipment applications and incorporate requirements into crane system designPrepare and review assembly drawings for proper fit, completeness and including all necessary dimensionsInvestigate and design solutions for "sales special" request as neededInvestigate field service issues and make recommendations for correctionsSupport prototype assembly process as neededSupport manufacturing areas as needed during assembly and testing processesResolve manufacturing issues identified by production engineering, material sourcing, and assemblersCoordinate the work of other personnel to complete designsPrepare project time estimates and coordinate schedule attainment in conjunction with overall product timeline.General qualifications for this role:Bachelor's degree in Electrical EngineeringMinimum of three (3) years of experience in electrical engineeringProficient in AutoCAD and other design software
