What You’ll Do:

Write open-source code that instruments thousands of Node applications around the world, and change the way they approach troubleshooting in production.

Drive our open-source Node projects and engage with the community to find and fix the most important challenges

Who You Are:

You’re a master Node programmer.

You are a great community ambassador and can drive hard technical conversations towards a good solution

You want to work in a fast, high growth startup environment that respects its engineers and customers

You have a BS/MS/PhD in a scientific field or equivalent experience

Bonus points:

You feel comfortable navigating around the v8 code base

You have experience with code instrumentation (at the syntax or bytecode level)

You are familiar with the v8 Inspector Protocol

You have significant experience with Python, Go, Javascript, Ruby or PHP

The reasonably estimated salary for this role at Datadog ranges from $130,000 - $300,000, plus a competitive equity package, and may include variable compensation. Actual compensation is based on factors such as the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience. In addition, Datadog offers a wide range of best in class, comprehensive and inclusive employee benefits for this role including healthcare, dental, parental planning, and mental health benefits, a 401(k) plan and match, paid time off, fitness reimbursements, and a discounted employee stock purchase plan.
