Looking for a Senior Silicon Validation Engineer with 10+ years of experience in pre-silicon DV test generation, constrained random test techniques, and programming (Python, C/C++). Join our Mountain View team for a onsite role, focusing on debugging and validating silicon devices for cutting-edge projects.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

Purpose of the Team:

The SVC Validation team focuses on debugging devices and running tests to ensure the quality and functionality of silicon after it returns from fabrication.

Key Projects:

This role will contribute to Evergreen Projects at the Sky level. These are exploratory projects that do not have rigid processes in place, requiring engineers to work beyond team guidelines to develop new processes and implementations.

Typical Task Breakdown and Operating Rhythm:

The primary responsibility will be to develop and augment post-silicon test generators.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develop and augment post-silicon test generators.

Work closely with the team to debug and validate silicon devices.

Contribute to exploratory projects and propose new processes and implementations.

Utilize deep understanding of pre-silicon DV test generation techniques for post-silicon test generation.

Apply constrained random test generation techniques.

Ensure comprehensive coverage through pre and post-silicon testing.

Utilize pre-silicon simulation and emulation platforms.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Years of Experience Required: Minimum 10 years of experience in the field.

Education: Bachelors degree in engineering is required.

Disqualifiers: Job hopping and industry mismatches.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

Deep Understanding of Pre-Silicon DV Test Generation: Techniques and applicability to post-silicon test generation.

Constrained Random Test Generators/Techniques: Minimum 10 years of experience.

Programming Skills: Python, C/C++, base metal and Linux OS, embedded software development, Git/Perforce.

Experience with Pre-Silicon Simulation and Emulation Platforms.

Prior Tools and Methodology Development Experience:

Strong software development skills.

Experience working in a lab setting with silicon devices.

BEST VS. AVERAGE CANDIDATE:

The ideal candidate will have extensive silicon experience and hands-on lab work.

Highly preferred if the candidate has experience working at client in SVC.
