YOUR DAY TO DAY :
Oversee and manage the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as a liaison between program management, planning, project team, finance, sales/marketing, and manufacturing management.
Manage projects to include but not limited to staffing, budgets, schedules.
Asses project issues and development resolutions to meet productivity, quality and client’s satisfaction goals and objectives.
Responsibilities include both planning an execution and/or coordinates team members' assignments.
Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with stakeholders.
Provides technical input to Program Management to achieve business goals.
Understands and interprets the technical, organizational and process aspects of the task assigned and can relate them to the technical needs of the overall project or organization.
Develops and maintains relationships with customers, respond to their needs and propose optimum and cost-effective solutions. Responsible for the completion of assigned engineering projects within budgetary and scheduling guidelines
Strong advocate and facilitator of continuous process improvement and infrastructure change
Leads continuous improvement efforts.
Leads a group of engineers and technicians as assigned.
YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR:
Attracting, hiring, and staffing the department with appropriate persons to accomplish department goals; and measure employee performance effectively and conduct realistic and motivational performance reviews.
Ensuring less experienced team members are mentored.
Participating in development of program strategies and teaming strategies across most projects within a business unit.
Leading engineering project teams by applying technical or non-technical expertise in support of strategic engineering goals.
Actively uncovering technical and organizational risks and ensure they are included in risk mitigation plans.
Provides strong technical direction in linking projects IP strategy to business roadmaps.
YOU ARE THE RIGHT PERSON FOR THIS JOB IF YOU HAVE :
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Applied Science, or its equivalent
Minimum 10 years of relevant technical and management experience
Proficient understanding of engineering processes and engineering design tools.
Understanding the Software development process, Software development experience is plus.
Understanding the Mechanical design process, Mechanical design experience is plus.
Understanding Electrical Design Process, Electrical circuits development experience is plus.
Understanding Systems Engineering design methodologies.
Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
Accurate and strong attention to detail.
Proficient in MS Office.
Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
Highly skilled in communicating issues, impacts, and corrective actions.
Excellent independent judgement and ability to handle complex problems.
This position requires potential access to technology controlled under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR). The successful candidate must be a “U.S. Person” as defined under ITAR and EAR.
