What to Expect
As a Business Intelligence Developer Intern, you'll learn the core concepts of corporate IT management and gain the skills necessary to develop metrics and KPI reporting. Our ideal candidate is a junior, senior, or graduate level college student with completed coursework related to technology and/or experience with business intelligence and data transformation.
Location: Onboarding, training, and some projects will be located at our 8220 N 23rd Ave. office in Phoenix, Arizona. All other work to be performed remotely.
Throughout this Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona internship, you will:
Participate in data transformation and curation, development of data models, and the development of report visualizations.
Assist the Chief of Staff in defining and developing the visual story of IT operations presented to leadership.
Acquire data transformation and curation skills.
Track and update action items, risks, and issues logs.
Learn about the operational activities of enterprise IT.
Develop proficiency working within the BCBSAZ SharePoint site.
Communicate with IT and Business leaders.
Kickstart a potential future career at BCBSAZ!
Qualifications College coursework related to technology and/or experience with business intelligence and data transformation.
A junior, senior, or graduate-level college student.
GPA of 3.0 or higher
Intermediate PC proficiency
High level proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Intermediate knowledge of business intelligence tools such as Power BI.
