Business Intelligence Analyst Intern - CDO Data Consumption Team

This is an excellent opportunity to join our CDO data consumption team as a BI Analyst Intern and work on a high-impact business enablement project. This is a great opportunity in shaping the self-serve data product, focusing on the essential business performance KPIs of our Gen business. Your contributions will empower our Finance, Business Unit and Executive Leadership teams with trusted reporting and valuable insights, enabling timely and informed decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
Your primary focus will be collaborating with our business partners, consumption SMEs, and cross-functional CDO teams in developing Business Performance self-serve data product, enabling access to governed business performance KPIs. This product will empower various teams within the organization with trusted reporting and insights.
Your tasks will include:
Engage with our Finance, Business & Data SMEs to develop deep understanding of our business data, ensuring alignment between business needs and data solutions.
Rapidly assimilate the current business performance self-serve product, spearhead requirements collection, documentation, analysis, and orchestrate the release of an upgraded version of this pivotal self-serve data tool.
Design, construct, and sustain BI data models to enhance data accessibility and scalability, ensuring prompt responsiveness and adaptability to evolving business demands.
Utilize Power BI, Looker, and other relevant tools to create intuitive data visualizations, interactive reports, and dashboards that represent complex business data in a clear and concise manner.
Gather and document data product requirements, business logic and code, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful delivery.
Skills and Qualifications:
Excellent communication skills, adept at effectively conveying work-related information in both one-on-one conversations and group settings.
Strong team player, with a proven ability to collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Proficiency in technical skills, including SQL development, data visualization in PowerBI, Looker and documentation.
Ability to consolidate data from various sources and systems, conducting validation, and ensuring data accuracy and relevance.
Adaptability to meet the dynamic needs of the business.
Good-to-have Skills:
Familiarity with Python or R for data analysis and modeling.
Understanding of statistical methods for data analysis and hypothesis testing.
Good understanding of database services within the Google Cloud Platform, including familiarity with data warehousing and ML concepts in BigQuery, would be a valuable addition.
