Salary: $78,000 to $135,000 per year, based on many factors including experience and location + Bonus Potential

Terrific Major Gifts Officer (MGO) position with a highly regarded national nonprofit. The MGO will be responsible for the full lifecycle of fundraising for major gifts of $10k and above primarily from individuals, with some family foundations as well. The role will manage a portfolio of major donors, with the assistance of a prospect research team. There will be a significant focus on cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of existing and new donors. In addition, the position will collaborate with regional leadership to maximize resources and drive revenue. The MGO will be joining a relatively new major gifts effort that will provide tremendous growth potential, and the chance to assist with designing and implementing best practices. Candidates should have a demonstrated track record of securing major gifts, coupled with strong relationship building skills. Qualified candidates will have 5+ years of relevant experience.

The salary range for this position is $78,000 to $135,000 per year, based on many factors including experience and location. There is also bonus potential based on organization and individual performance. This position is fully remote, and applicants need to reside in the Los Angeles, Long Beach, Orange County, or San Diego areas.

Responsibilities:

Manage and oversee the full fundraising life cycle for a portfolio of major gifts donors and prospects

Collaborate with local organization leadership to support fundraising at the local level

Assist in developing, managing, and supporting development strategies, campaigns, initiatives, and best practices

Create and present fundraising reports

Collaborate with the marketing department to create fundraising collateral

Travel within the region to meet with donors and prospects

Qualifications:

5+ of years relevant fundraising experience

Bachelor's degree required

Demonstrated track record of securing at least 5-figure gifts

Excellent communication and relationship building skills

Ability to work in a highly collaborative organization

Willingness to travel

Self-motivated, entrepreneurial mindset

Raiser's Edge or similar experience
