Overview:
Responsible for developing sustainability related strategies and plans that assure our planning, design and construction capabilities are well-known in the industry and we are taking appropriate measures to reduce our environmental footprint with respect to our internal operations.
Responsibilities:
Develop and support the implementation of sustainability strategies
Provide subject matter expertise in one or more sustainability areas
Promote though leadership through social media and conferences on sustainability
Provide guidance on reducing corporate environmental footprint
Assess compliance with environmental regulations and provide recommendations on maintaining compliance
Promote sustainable products and technologies internally and for our clients
Identify and participate in opportunities for stakeholder engagement and communication
Oversee the tracking and reporting on our environmental performance
Research and provide recommendations on how to integrate sustainability into business operations
Promote environmental stewardship within our company and the larger community
Monitor and make recommendations on our continuous improvement and innovation as it relates to sustainability
Demonstrate and quantify the business value of our sustainability efforts
Qualifications:
Minimum bachelors degree in architecture, engineering, construction management or environmental-related sciences (sustainability, chemistry, biology, marine, weather, etc.).
Minimum 15 years experience in a design, construction, sustainability, environmental or related role.
Minimum 5 years experience in a sustainability-specific role
Minimum 2 years experience in a leadership role participating in the development of strategic plans and overseeing implementation of sustainability initiatives.
