JOB DESCRIPTION

A Corporate Director of Sales is responsible for directing all sales efforts within his/her given Territory.  These include, but are not limited to, New & Used OEM Product Sales, Rental Activity, Allied Sales efforts (attachments, batteries, etc.) and Managing the Sales Staff of the given territory.

POSITION SUMMARY  We are seeking a high energy, persuasive, polished, sales and marketing professional to manage and grow the Texas territory. Supported by an organization that is known as an industry leader in the Material Handling market, that not only manages high quality products, but provides the best "service and maintenance after the sale" that drives our niche in the market.

ESSENTIAL ROLES/RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for planning and executing the company’s annual sales revenue and profits targets within assigned regions and accounts.

Develops a business plan, manages assets, improves processes and all other facets of managing sales, including creating, monitoring the budget and sales units and dollars.

Manages the growth & profitability of the sales and rental market share for our products to company expectation.

Directs, motivates, develops, and manages the performance of the department’s staff to achieve the overall goals of the division’s market share, profit and business plan. This will include such items as hiring, training and development, sales coverage planning, account development, monitoring sales calls and preparing reports, compensation planning, conducting performance evaluations, etc.

Manages the overall client funnel. Ensures that the company is growing market share.

Develops and maintains an excellent working relationship with all supplier partners.

Must be able to effectively work with other department managers to ensure a standard of excellence toward customer service.

Become superbly knowledgeable in the market segments that we serve.

Manages and enforces cost structure control to ensure profitability.

Participate in industry trade shows, and events to promote HTX Material Handling’s equipment and services.

Develop and implement HTX Material Handling sales and marketing strategy. This includes comprehensive marketing and execution planning through internal/external marketing tools/vendors.

Qualifications and Skills:

Knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through a high school education with a technical training, a four-year degree, such as Engineering or Technology or Business, Marketing, etc. is preferred or applicable experience.

Successful previous experience as Director of Sales and Marketing, consistently meeting or exceeding targets

Committed to continuous education which is demonstrated through developing a sales team

Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization

Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close

Strong analytical skills, business sense and experience working within industrial equipment/material handling.

Excellent mentoring, coaching and people management skills

Ability to travel at least 35% of the time

Computer Skills: Must have experience using Microsoft Office software, as Word, Excel and PowerPoint, database systems, Prior Salesforce experience preferred

10+ years of successful Sales Team Management experience with a preference for material handling equipment in a major market served by HTX Material Handling.

Success in creating meaningful relationships both internally and externally that inevitably lead to market share growth, customer understanding and satisfaction.

The desire to comprehend products that are mechanically complex and sophisticated with a talent to articulate the attributes that enhance their suitability to the application.

A passion to question, listen and follow-up with solutions that solve customer challenges.

The character to create a strong trust and confidence with the client and potential customer.

The highest caliber of ethics with a strong ability to balance loyalties between both client and employer.

Work Environment and Physical Demands:

Must be able to work consistently in between a climate-controlled, professional office

environment and a non-climate-controlled shop environment.

Requires long periods of sitting or standing depending on daily workflow.

Requires the use of standard office equipment (i.e., computer, copier, scanner, etc.)

May require moderate standing, walking, bending, or stooping.
