Program Analyst (Policy)

The ideal candidate for this position will have experience analyzing legislation, regulations, or policy; writing position papers, recommendations, or presentations; and communication skills providing briefings.

The qualification requirements listed below must be met by the closing date of this announcement.

To qualify for this position at the GS-12 level, you must possess one full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 level in the Federal government, which has equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. Experience may be obtained in the federal government, a state or local government, or private sector, and must demonstrate the following:

Developing or implementing new policies that impact a specific program; AND

Analyzing and evaluating the impact of policies and procedures on emergency management.

Assisting in conducting management studies to assess effectiveness of emergency management programs/policies.

To qualify for this position at the GS-13 level, you must possess one full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 level in the Federal government, which has equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. Experience may be obtained in the federal government, a state or local government, or private sector, and must demonstrate the following:

Managing and coordinating high level policy development and analysis efforts; AND

Overseeing the research and analysis of complex policy issues; AN

Preparing in-depth briefings for senior officials, talking points, and white papers on policy issues.
