Your Part in It:

The Compliance Director is responsible for creating, reviewing, and overseeing the execution of effective compliance strategies that will ensure our operations and business practices are aligned with the overarching requirements of applicable state and federal laws. This includes anticipating possible compliance risks, assessing safety standards, and devising solutions that will minimize any adverse effects that certain irregularities might have on our operations.

You will supervise the performance of our Compliance team to ensure all internal protocols and compliance policies are enforced. You'll regularly review audit reports, hold meetings, and make sure staff are informed about modifications to regulations affecting our industry.

Responsibilities:

Direct compliance programs, policies, reporting and practices.

Establish and direct program to ensure timely application and maintenance of all state and federal licensing.

Establish global compliance standards and design improvements to internal control structures.

Minimize legal risks by understanding current and proposed legislation, enforcing regulations, recommending new procedures, and complying with legal requirements.

Enhance compliance and organization reputation by bringing compliance recognition to the company and providing leadership in the industry.

Develop risk-based compliance testing of existing procedures and controls to identify and correct non-compliance.

Research compliance challenges and create strategy for management thereof.

Manage federal and state label approval processes; ensure submissions are timely and accurate.

Control all compliance related costs and provide cost reduction analysis to senior leadership.

Oversee state excise tax compliance process assisting in state submissions and researching process breakdowns.

Establish communication and training initiatives that inform stakeholders of compliance requirements.

Requirements: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university

6+ years of relevant experience

2+ year of supply chain experience

Experience in Wine & Spirits preferred

Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills

Excellent written and verbal communication

Excellent attention to detail

Strong organizational and analytical skills

Expert in Excel and Word

Experience with NetSuite preferred
