Our client, a major player in the Oil & Gas sector, has partnered with Airswift to recruit an experienced IT Support professional for a dynamic 12-month W2 Contract in Rodeo, CA. This role is pivotal in providing comprehensive IT technical support to refinery staff and remote sites, ensuring seamless operation and maintenance of critical IT systems and equipment.

Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs., climb stairs, and comply with refinery safety protocols.
Assignment Details: 6-month initial assignment with potential for extension based on performance and business needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot, manage, and monitor IT systems including desktops, laptops, applications, phones, mobile devices, radios, switches, fiber, wired, and wireless ethernet.
Perform PC builds, installations, repairs, and delivery of computing equipment.
Install, test, and repair computer hardware, peripherals, and software.
Configure and deploy mobile devices (smartphones, tablets) and provide end-user training.
Provide desk-side and remote support for computing environments, adhering to standard policies and processes.
Resolve technically complex IT support issues promptly and effectively.
Track and maintain IT hardware inventory to ensure availability and reliability.
Participate in after-hours (call-out) schedules to support critical systems and infrastructure.
Assist in the installation of other IT-supported systems as needed.
Position Requirements:
Basic/Required:
Legally authorized to work in the United States.
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
2+ years of hands-on experience in Information Technology.
Valid driver's license with ability to safely operate a motor vehicle around refinery equipment.
Strong commitment to excellent customer service and compliance with refinery safety requirements.
Willingness and ability to obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Card (TWIC) during pre-employment.
Preferred:
Bachelor's degree in MIS, Computer Science, or related field.
3+ years of experience in Information Technology with proficiency in Microsoft Windows OS and mobile devices.
Demonstrated ability to enhance IT service delivery and maintain documentation of supported systems.
Effective communication skills and teamwork abilities in collaborating with diverse IT resources.
