Connections Services has an exciting opportunity available to join our leadership team as our Director of Services! We are a 245D licensed program which provides residential-based habilitation services in Hennepin County for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities or related conditions. We currently operate seven group homes in the Bloomington metro area.

The Director of Services ensures the program's operations comply with regulatory requirements and with Connections Services' policies and person-centered philosophy while exercising sound judgment to adapt and apply the guidelines to specific situations. This is a full time, exempt level position that functions as part of the leadership team for Options Minnesota's family of companies.
Salary: $70,000+ DOQ
Hours: Mon-Friday, 40+ hours weekly. There will be occasions that the Director will need to work evenings and/or weekends, depending on organizational needs.

BUSINESS MANAGEMENT
Develop and implement an annual operational budget to support the overall strategic plan.
Ongoing maintenance of programs and group homes.
Ensure all programs are in operation to maximum capacity.
Educate supervisors and staff on the organization's mission, vision, values, strategic plan, tactical goals, departmental budgets, and medical billing.
Maintain a positive public image and marketing program services to other organizations and/or referral sources.
EMPLOYEE MANAGEMENT
Hire the highest quality employees who support the mission, vision, and values of the organization.
Assist employees in their professional development through training and team building.
Encourage and demonstrate open communication among employees on all client issues.
Create, communicate and enforce agency guidelines, policies, and procedures to all employees.
Work closely with Supervisors to address and resolve employee relations and performance issues.
PROGRAM MANAGEMENT
Lead Residential Services with a Person-Centered philosophy that promotes the ability for residents to achieve the best quality of life possible.
Ensure services and service locations are in compliance with licensing and Connections Services standards.
Train supervisory staff (Area Managers and Home Coordinators) to monitor program effectiveness, quality, and determination of outcomes as indicated within CSSP, CSSP Addendum, and other program plans.
Coordinate with other departments (billing, intake, marketing, and strategic planning) as well as outside providers professionally to meet individual resident and agency goals.
ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE AND QUALIFICATIONS
Requires relevant education and experience to work independently. Must meet MN 245D qualifications for Designated Manager . A four-year college degree in social services or related field is preferred.
A four-year history of successful supervisory competencies is required . Demonstrate rational objective decision-making, strong deductive reasoning, problem sensitivity, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication including fluency in English and proficiency in Microsoft Office and computer skills.
Frequently organizes and completes multiple responsibilities at once, requiring time management, organizational and reporting skills, and proven ability to achieve assigned deadlines.
Demonstrate a strong commitment to collaboration with direct and indirect supervisors, team members, other departments, families, and external stakeholders. Requires ability to work with people of different abilities, ages, cultures, and ethnicities.
Demonstrated knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership technique, coordination of people and resources, and customer service.
Available to work a flexible full-time schedule including answering and responding to calls for emergencies some evenings and weekends.
Requires a valid driver's license, personal auto, personal auto insurance, and a satisfactory driving record.
Connections Services, LLC will conduct a Minnesota Department of Human Services Background Study on all new employees. Employees in driving positions will also be subject to a Motor Vehicle Background check. Continued employment will be contingent on a cleared background study and a satisfactory MVR.
