ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Oversees the Preconstruction Department, including estimating and procurement, ensuring that project planning, budgeting, and scheduling are accurately developed and aligned with operational capabilities.
Manages the Operations department to achieve company goals regarding crew utilization, efficiency, and project completion, ensuring a smooth transition from preconstruction planning to operational execution.
Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates the efficiency and effectiveness of operations, including the integration of preconstruction estimates and plans into actual construction phases.
Leads Operations with a financial acumen, ensuring cost control, quality excellence, adherence to delivery timelines, and strict compliance with safety regulations.
Provides strategic oversight of project management, including aligning resources and schedules between Preconstruction and Operations departments.
Ensures that all construction projects adhere to safety, quality, and delivery standards.
Communicates new directives, policies, and procedures to department heads, ensuring alignment with company goals set by the President.
Collaborates with the Resource Manager for detailed resource allocation and management.
Maintains a healthy and safe working environment in partnership with the Premise safety team.
Reports on progress, production, and operational challenges to the President.
Participates in strategic planning, business reviews, and decision-making as a key member of the executive team.
Leads and manages senior staff within the Operations and Preconstruction Departments.
Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
4-year bachelor’s degree or combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
10 years’ experience as an operations leader in a similar role
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Able to communicate effectively, clearly and succinctly through spoken and written forms with peers, management, and customers. Able to effectively communicate with people at all levels and from various backgrounds.
Effective use of Premise-provided software and tools including Microsoft Office Suite, PDF Software, Project Management Software, and ability to learn other software, as needed
Knowledge of construction, quality, safety, and OSHA guidelines
