Technical Communications Coordinator Position Purpose
Responsible for assisting and addressing technical inquiries from Customers, Parts, Rental and Sales departments, and Manufacturers to ensure customer satisfaction, drive rental and sales performance, and adhere to manufacturer standards.
Technical Communications Coordinator Essential Functions
Communicates and supports the Kirby Smith vision and core values of One Mission, One Team, One Plan, One Goal
Oversees internal equipment matters, including those at branch locations by providing technical support for used, trade-in, and rental fleet equipment
Provides technical support for new, used, rental fleet, and customer-owned equipment, coordinating with manufacturers and implementing solutions with internal teams or directly with customer
Interacts with customers to discuss requirements and collaborate on developing and submitting plans to manufacturers. These plans may involve modifications, attachment additions, engineering tasks, and parameter adjustment procedures
Engages with customers to facilitate communication and coordinate the development and submission of requests to manufacturers for structural repair procedures
Manages and delivers comprehensive training sessions, including assembly, disassembly, loading, unloading, repairs, etc., as well as targeted safety training covering hand signals, job site safety, and workshop procedures
Performs other job-related duties as assigned
Technical Communications Coordinator Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Ten (10) years of Service experience on Heavy Equipment
Proficient in interpret technical data, operating maintenance, instructions, and parts, repair, and procedure manuals
Proficient in writing routine reports and correspondence
Exceptional Interpersonal skills and excellent communication skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and various web-based applications
Technical Communications Coordinator Physical Requirements
Lifting or carrying up to 25 pounds without assistance
The ability to drive locally and to sit for long periods
