Position Summar y:
Goodwill is seeking a Marketing and Communications Coordinator to play a crucial role in supporting the
Development and Communications department in its communications, event planning, volunteer services,
and community engagement initiatives. Reporting directly to the Manager of Marketing and
Communications, this position calls for an individual with strong organizational and communication skills, a
genuine enthusiasm for connecting individuals with the Goodwill mission, and the capacity to handle various
projects efficiently within deadlines. Goodwill is looking for a collaborative, hardworking team member who
will also have fun along the way.
Duties & Responsibilitie s:

Responsible for working closely with the Manager of Marketing and Communications to
successfully execute Goodwill’s annual fundraising event, THE LUNCH.
Support internal event planning in alignment with the Goodwill Culture and
Communications Calendar.
Serve as point person for attending corporate events, nonprofit fairs, and other
community-oriented opportunities to represent Goodwill and promote our mission.
Responsible for managing Goodwill’s Volunteer Program and special projects to increase
community enga gement.
Assist with writing copy and reviewing grammar for social media posts and publications,
such as the Board Directory, Annual Report, quarterly newsletters, Goodwill TV, etc.
Assist with website maintenance and updating content on social media platforms.
Monitor and respond to incoming DMs and comments to ensure positive engagement.
Responsible for capturing photo and video content at internal and external events.
Maintain the marketing department's library, including organization of files/records, photos/videos,
photo release forms, bios/profiles, events, calendars, shared inbox, etc.
Support graphic creation in coordination with the graphic designer using tools such as
Canva and Adobe.

Review collateral materials against the organization’s brand guidelines.
Operate with a can-do spirit and problem-solving approach to help the team continually
improve, grow, and support the success of Goodwill Dallas.
Support the Manager of Marketing and Communications and team with additional
assigned tasks.
•
Education & Experien ce:
1) Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or similar field.
2) Minimum two (2) years of experience in non-profit operations and administration, marketing, or
communicati ons.
3) Experience with social media platforms (META, YouTube, LinkedIn, and Google Analytics) and
Constant Contact
4) Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
5) Enjoys a fast-paced work environment that requires teamwork and flexibility.
6) Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage and prioritize multiple work
streams at once.
7) A sense of urgency and drive for data-driven results coupled with an ability to partner effectively
with peers and management.

Hours of Work: Monday-Friday; 8am-5pm. There will be periods when longer and additional days will be
require d.
Salary & Benefits : Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience. The company offers a
