The Senior Accounting Manager will help with the exciting growth of an Accounting Advisory Firm (our client) and facilitate the business through day-to-day accounting operations, implementation, and management of client's accounting and finance processes.
Responsibilities
Execution and Improvement of the Monthly, Quarterly, and Year-end close processes including detailed analysis and reconciliation of all General Ledger accounts and preparation of Financial Statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP
Ability to act in the capacity of Controller, VP Accounting, VP Finance or other leadership role as needed at the client
Ensure compliance with accounting standards and guidance
Strategic assistance with implementation of new ERP, if required
Investigate reporting discrepancies/anomalies and communicate issues as they arise in a timely manner
Manage technical accounting questions and updates
Provide support for the annual budgeting and planning process
Lead relationships with external auditors and accounting/tax advisors, as needed
Mentor team members and help them get to the next level
Effectively communicate and deliver accurate and timely reporting and critical financial matters to Executive Management and Partners
Qualifications
Minimum 7+ years experience, including Big 4 public accounting experience
CPA with strong operational and technical accounting skill set
Strong knowledge of US GAAP
Excellent knowledge in assessing, developing, and implementing accounting processes
Ability to effectively communicate complex concepts and risk factors to stakeholders and influence decision making
Proven experience building, developing, mentoring, and inspiring an accounting team as well as serve in their functions as back-up, if needed
Strong interpersonal skills, an ability to work cross functionally, and a knack for presenting financial information in a way that others can understand easily
Excellent organization and time management skills within a fast-paced environment and the ability to prioritize workload
