About the Role
The Company is seeking an Executive Director of Educational Technologies to lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive academic and learning technology strategy. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the selection, acquisition, development, integration, and maintenance of software and applications that support teaching, learning, and research. This includes ensuring the security, reliability, performance, and scalability of these systems. The role also involves providing technical support and training to faculty, staff, and students, as well as working with the academic community to understand their needs and deliver solutions that enhance the academic experience and outcomes for a diverse student population.Applicants must have a Master's degree in educational technology, instructional design, or a related field, and 5-7 years' of experience in academic and learning technology software and applications development and management. A strong background in various academic and learning technology platforms is required. The Executive Director will be expected to stay current with emerging technologies and trends, and to assess their value for the institution, recommending and implementing solutions as needed. The role demands a highly self-motivated individual who is team-oriented, with excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills. Experience in a higher education or similar complex environment is preferred, as is a doctoral degree in a related field.
