The Opportunity
As a critical member of a specialized team, the Investment Cash & Securities Specialist will work with the Corporate Units, Lines of Business (LOBs), CFO, CIO Investment Management Group, Enterprise Risk Management (ERM), Investment Managers, and subsidiaries to provide oversight, analysis, and complex processing of various cash and investment transactions related to MassMutual, its subsidiaries, and its portfolio. A successful candidate must be able to work under pressure, accurately and with limited supervision and must be able to represent Investment Management Operations and MassMutual in communications with internal and external constituents with discretion, tact and decorum.

The Investment Operations team is agile and works independently, yet collaboratively. All members are held accountable and are encouraged to grow in the role via peer-to-peer training, education and industry participation. To be successful on this team, you must have a strong attention to detail, be able to multi-task, thrive in a fast-paced work environment, have strong interpersonal skills and have a continuous improvement mindset.
The Impact
Handles complex long term focused projects involving multiple disciplines or business units
Works independently and with management on highly visible, divisional/cross-divisional complex projects
Collaborates with various internal and external parties
Sought as a key resource for resolution of unique or complex business problems
Advances the interest of the company by serving on teams that are external to the organization when appropriate
Drives continuous improvement and efficiencies beyond own scope of responsibility
Makes worthwhile improvements to existing procedures and programs
The Minimum Qualifications
7+ Years of experience of progressive investment operations experience; prefer experience in back-office securities operations (reconciliation of cash to receivables/payables)
The Ideal Qualifications
Four-year Bachelor’s Degree is highly preferred
Experience creating, documenting and implementing complex operating processes
Motivated and a self-starter
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral) with the ability to build positive working relationships
Strong attention to customer service and quality results
Strong attention to detail - precision and quality
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Ability to handle shifting priorities effectively
Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment
Recognition of patterns and trends in data operations and identify opportunities for improving processes and systems
