Overview:
MHG Hotels, a leading hotel management company, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Manager, Technology to oversee and manage the IT infrastructure for our corporate and hotel locations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for deploying and maintaining technology systems, providing technical support, and ensuring the security and integrity of our IT resources.
Key Responsibilities: Laptop Deployment and Configuration:
Deploy laptops to corporate users, ensuring proper setup, configuration, and user training as necessary.
Implement security best practices and enforce policies during laptop deployments.
Helpdesk Support:
Manage helpdesk support for corporate computers, troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
Provide remote assistance and maintain detailed records of support tickets.
Office 365 Administration:
Administer Office 365 users, including creating and managing user accounts, assigning licenses, and configuring security settings.
Utilize PowerShell and other admin tools for automation and management tasks.
Data Security and Integrity:
Ensure the security and integrity of corporate data during laptop deployments and Office 365 user management.
Regularly monitor for potential vulnerabilities or breaches and implement security measures.
Connectivity Troubleshooting:
Troubleshoot connectivity issues with remote users accessing corporate resources, including VPN setup and Wi-Fi configuration.
Resolve network-related problems efficiently.
Vendor Collaboration:
Collaborate with third-party vendors or service providers to resolve technical issues or implement solutions.
Ensure effective communication, coordination, and adherence to service level agreements.
Professional Development:
Stay updated with the latest trends and developments in IT relevant to the role.
Engage in professional development activities, read industry publications, and utilize online resources.
Hardware Inventory Management:
Manage and maintain hardware inventory for corporate laptops.
Track assets, conduct audits, and coordinate repairs or replacements as needed.
Project Management:
Perform project management tasks such as obtaining quotes, coordinating technology setups, and overseeing Wi-Fi and Property Management Systems (PMS) installations for new hotel setups.
Effective Communication:
Communicate technical information to non-technical users clearly and concisely.
Use visual aids if necessary and demonstrate patience and empathy to ensure understanding and satisfaction.
Qualifications: Proven experience in deploying hardware to corporate users, including setup, configuration, and user training.
Strong background in managing helpdesk support and troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
Extensive experience administering Office 365, including user account management, license assignment, and security configuration.
Demonstrated ability to ensure data security and integrity, and implement security best practices.
Proficiency in troubleshooting connectivity issues and resolving network-related problems.
Experience collaborating with third-party vendors and service providers.
Commitment to staying updated with IT trends, security threats, and best practices.
Strong organizational skills for managing hardware inventory and coordinating repairs.
Project management experience, particularly in technology setups for new locations.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical users effectively.
