Rose Villa Foundation is seeking a Director of Philanthropy to join our team!

The primary purpose of the Rose Villa Foundation is to support Rose Villa residents who have outlived their own financial resources through no fault of their own. This position is part of the Rose Villa Inc. leadership team and is the key team member to lead all efforts to support the goals, principles, and vision of the Rose Villa Foundation. If you're asking yourself "what exactly is this job?" here's a quick look:

* Develop and execute comprehensive fundraising strategies to support the Foundations' financial needs and long-term sustainability

* Plans and executes all fundraising efforts and campaigns

* Builds networks, enhances the Rose Villa Foundation reputation, and accomplishes the strategic vision of the Foundation

* Builds relationships of trust with all members of the Rose Villa community, including residents, Boards, the leadership team, and partners

* Acts as a public relations representative for the Foundation in all networking and communications

* Creates effective Board team-building activities to use the best contributions of members in pursuit of Board objectives

* Designs effective methods for agendas, meetings, retreats, and communications supporting the Foundation Board

Who we need: Someone who will connect to Rose Villa residents and the community, achieving fundraising goals to assure the long-term sustainability of the Rose Villa Foundation. Someone who is comfortable and adept at building rapport with residents in both donor and volunteer capacities AND who thrives while running their own (one-person) show.

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and attributes:

* Warm, empathetic, trust-filled, and effective engagement in all communications and relationships

* Strong economic and analytic skills in needs assessment, problem solving, and decision making while targeting and reaching goals and objectives

* Understanding of government and community relationships, nonprofit funding partners and policies affecting community-based living

* Fundraising experience in securing $1M+ annually in gift contributions

* Success in capital campaigns achieving or exceeding goals

Requirements:

* Bachelor's degree (graduate degree preferred)

* At least five years of experience in development and fundraising

* At least five years of experience developing and maintaining relationships with board members, donors, and staff

* At least three years of experience working with and managing a donor database

* At least two years of prior experience in writing grants is preferred

* Must be able to pass pre-employment criminal background check

Wage and benefits:

* Starting wage is $87,000 to $97,000 per year based on experience

* Choice of medical plans with few out of pocket costs
