Manager Supply Planning

Please note that this position is based in San Diego, CA. Acadia's hybrid model requires this role to work in our office three days per week on average.
Responsible for production planning, issuing forecasts and purchase orders to contract manufacturing sites, following up on orders to target on time delivery, support production requirements and inventory targets. Establishes and ensures adherence to company planning processes, inventory targets, contractual obligations and comply with finance and SOX requirements.
Primary Responsibilities
Ensure no stock-outs of Acadia commercial products
Issue, track and maintain Purchase Orders (PO's) to Contract Manufacturing Organizations (CMO’s) for the procurement / manufacturing of product(s) required to support target inventory levels
Perform receipts and any required inventory transactions in ERP systems
Oversee product planning (PP) systems and activities
Develop and produce planning metrics for management review
Assess supply chain robustness through various scenario analysis activities
Coordinate with Finance in managing cost of goods
Identifies, communicates, and elevates supply chain problems to avert supply issues
Drive and optimize processes and procedures to support growth and complexity of Acadia supply planning
Education/Experience/Skills
Bachelor’s degree in business or science, or related field. MBA preferred. Targeting 5 years of progressively responsible experience in pharmaceutical production and planning with a focus on supply chain materials management. An equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be considered. Association for Supply Chain Management (ASCM or APICS) certification preferred.
Strong knowledge of ERP software systems and procedures and with robust production planning
Experience with maintaining and ensuring adequate stocks of drug product, active pharmaceutical ingredients (API) and key raw materials.
Experience with cold chain products and subsequent supply chain
In depth knowledge of GMP principles, concepts and
Strong analytical and computer skills Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint.
Knowledge and experience engaging in CMO contract relationships and planning
Strong negotiating skills and problem solving abilities
Strong organizational and documentation Ability to manage change in a dynamic
Ability to change the thinking of, or gain acceptance from, others in sensitive situations, without damage to the relationship.
Skill at supporting a team environment that supports a common vision and ability to work cross functionally within multi-departmental teams within and without the organization.
Proficiency at effectively prioritizing goals, assessing team capability, and coordinating resources to achieve those goals.
Ability to travel 10% of the time both domestically and internationally.
Physical Requirements
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, see, talk or hear in a standard office environment and independently from remote locations. Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. Ability to travel independently overnight and work after hours if required by travel schedule or business needs.
In addition to a competitive base salary, this position is also eligible for discretionary bonus and equity awards based on factors such as individual and organizational performance. Actual amounts will vary depending on experience, performance, and location.
Salary Range
$90,000 — $112,800 USD
