About the Indiana Gaming Commission (IGC):

The mission of the Indiana Gaming Commission is to provide a fair, transparent, and dynamic regulatory environment that encourages economic development while requiring the highest level of integrity of all activities under its jurisdiction.

Salary Statement:

The salary for this position traditionally starts at $39,000.00 but may be commensurate with education or work experience.

Role Overview:

This position Falls within the Commission’s Investigations Division. The Investigations Coordinator will bear primary responsibility for overseeing Personal Disclosure (PD)-2 and PD-3 application processing and record retention for the Division. The Coordinator will report to the Directors of the Division but will work with the Gaming Administrator of the Division and other relevant Commission staff, including the Commission’s Background and Financial Investigators.

A Day in the Life:

+ Work directly under the supervision of the Directors of Investigations.

+ Provide support to the Division in ensuring compliance with all applicable Commission policies, directives, administrative rules and state laws.

+ Investigate administrative challenges and seek dynamic methodologies and structures to facilitate Division efficiency and organization.

+ Develop and maintain an archival system of all documents created or received in conjunction with the investigations for licensure.

+ Process all incoming PD-2 and PD-3 gaming applications and fingerprint cards.

+ Assist in Division administrative tasks.

+ Serve as Division liaison for outside entities requesting information possessed by the Division.

+ Communicate with the Gaming Agents.

+ Ensure that administrative functions of the Division comply with the Commission’s operating procedures, case management system and policies.

+ Answer and initiate official correspondence.

+ Research and compile information on specific aspects of the program such as procedures, needs and policies.

+ Answer basic customer questions about program policies and procedures.

+ Establish, organize, and maintain current and historical files related to the program.

+ Collect information to help in the preparation of program reports, develop applications, prepare budget allocations and/or purchasing of consultative services.

+ Maintain, organize, and monitor program assets.

+ Schedule, prepare, and disseminate all program related training materials.

+ Perform other duties as required.

What You'll Need for Success:

This person must have the following requirements to be considered for employment:

+ General knowledge of the program area.

+ Working knowledge of applicable legislation, guidelines, agency policy and professional standards and practices.

+ Ability to research and compile specific topics related to program area.

+ Ability to communicate orally and in writing.

+ Ability to operate effectively in a group decision-making process.

+ Tact in dealing with other agency personnel and the public.

+ Specialized knowledge of accounting principles.

+ Bachelor’s degree preferred, or sufficient relevant professional experience. Both education and experience can be substituted on a year for year basis.

+ Specialized knowledge of theories, principles and practices of administrative management.

+ Ability to objectively and promptly analyze issues.

+ Strong administrative and communication skills.

+ Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.

Supervisory Responsibilities/Direct Reports:

This role may be utilized in a supervisory capacity based on agency needs.
