**Based**: In or near Los Angeles, California **Type**: Full-Time, Permanent **Rate**: Depending on Experience

As the West Coast Regional Sales Manager, you will help to design and deploy the sales strategy for the brands in your region. You will have the ultimate goal of building and maintaining the best possible sales plan to meet the growth targets of our business. The ideal candidate will have experience in the MI technology or pro audio sectors.

**Duties**:

* Manage and be responsible for the Focusrite Group MI brands which consist of Focusrite, Novation, Focusrite Pro, ADAM revenue and retained margin in the region

* Implement the Sales & Marketing Strategy for the Focusrite and Novation brands in the region

* Develop annual sales budgets for revenue and gross margin contribution for the product lines with the VPs of the respective brands.

* Work closely with the relevant American Music and Sound Regional Sales Managers

* Use all resources available to increase the velocity of the products the dealer carries and constantly increase the number of products they support

* Monitor dealer performance and quickly identify dealers that are underperforming and put in place a plan to remedy

* Set sales goals, compare performance to goals, and adjust goals as needed between accounts to keep us on track to hit our goals

* As a leader, look to continually drive improvement across the wider Sales team

* Motivate and train your sales team

* Work closely with our product specialists

* Assist sales for other Group brands where agreed and appropriate

* Use the tools marketing creates and make sure the message gets to the dealers and to their customers

* Work with our dealers to increase the marketing of our brands

* Assess the performance of your sales team through observation and measurement, then suggest corrective actions as needed to management

* Work alongside our data analysis team to continually track your progress towards our goal

* Coordinate and participate in training for dealers and end users

* Attend trade shows

* Prepare weekly and quarterly sales reports and submit your findings and analysis to management

**Skills and Experience:**

* Regional Sales Manager with 5+ years experience and a proven track record in the MI Technology, Pro Audio and/or Consumer Electronics industries.

* Extensive, relevant contacts throughout the region

* Ability and desire to drive growth goals

* A proven leader with the ability to drive actions through others

* Widely recognized and trusted Relationship Manager

* Strong oral and written communication skills

* Experience setting and achieving sales goals in both revenue and gross margin terms

* Strong analytical skills

* Exceptional customer service skills

* A strong understanding of and passion for the music-making industry, our target customers and product ranges

* Exceptional negotiation and communication skills

* Ability to resolve problems and overcome objections quickly and efficiently

* A self-starter and problem solver who is not afraid to challenge, in the right way
