Position Summary
As a Sr. Corporate Counsel, you will report to the US Associate General Counsel, Corporate. You will be responsible for providing proactive and practical day-to-day counseling, legal advice, and support primarily to our Warehouse, Logistics, and Workplace Health and Safety teams but also serve as a generalist. You will partner closely with members of the US Legal team and business departments and support internal clients of all levels. Responsibilities
This role will support primarily our Warehouse, Logistics and Workplace Health and Safety teams but also serve as a generalist. This position is expected to be a key business partner and to contribute to the success of the Company by combining both legal and business expertise to understand SHEINs operations and strategic goals.
This attorney will be expected to work effectively across internal legal and non-legal functions. This role requires a mature individual who can fight fires as needed and provide practical legal advice that supports business objectives.
Specific responsibilities include:
Structure, draft, negotiate and review various complex contracts, including logistics, supply chain and related agreements.
Advise, assess, and train internal clients on compliance with health and safety-related laws and regulations, e.g., Occupational Safety and Health Act and similar federal, state and local requirements in the US, as well as internal health and safety standards and policies as they relate to warehouse operations.
Advise, assess, and train internal clients on compliance with federal, state and local laws related to supply chain logistics, including but not limited to handling of dangerous goods or hazardous materials.
Standardize and maintain templates and playbooks for the logistics team.
Consult with senior leaders to proactively issue-spot, provide advice on risks, and drive practical business solutions to complex supply chain disruption issues.
Assist with the implementation of risk assessments, standard operating procedures, monitoring, auditing, and other related health and safety compliance controls.
Respond to a wide range of legal inquiries from internal stakeholders, focusing on understanding their needs, providing practical solutions and effectively managing risk.
Willingness and interest in handling various legal matters, even if they fall outside day-to-day responsibilities.
Motivated and able to prioritize among many tasks of competing importance.
Able to work independently and collaboratively.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to responsiveness
Must be willing to travel up to 25%
Skills and Qualifications
Juris Doctorate from an ABA accredited law school.
Member in good standing of at least one state bar, preferably the Indiana bar association.
Minimum of 6-8 years of experience in Warehouse, Logistics, and Workplace Health and Safety. A combination of Law firm and In-house experience preferred.
Detail oriented, a creative mind and excellent communication/presentation, writing, and analytic skills
Self-starter with strong critical thinking and sound judgment to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced, multi-cultural environment.
Demonstrated judgment, personal integrity, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to build positive relationships with senior management and other members of the legal team and to positively influence outcomes.

Ability to speak/read Mandarin Chinese a plus.
