Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Compliance Specialist to join our Transmission Line Engineering team. In this role, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our company adheres to all relevant regulations, standards, and best practices. You will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks, including:

• Maintaining accurate records: You will be responsible for maintaining accurate and organized records of all compliance activities. This will involve using Microsoft Excel to record data and generate reports.

• Monitoring and analyzing compliance data: You will be responsible for staying up-to-date on compliance related standard practices and ensuring our company adheres to them. This will involve reviewing current internal procedures, identifying potential risks, and improving company standard practices.

• Generating reports: You will be required to develop detailed reports and presentations that communicate compliance information to stakeholders at all levels. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.

• Collaboration: You will work closely with other departments such as Transmission Planning, Engineering, and Legal to ensure our business practices are compliant.

Key Job Duties:

• Facility and Regulatory Reporting: Aid in completing various required quarterly and annual regulatory reporting for company internal and company external use; including FERC Form-1, SEC10k, and state long-term forecast reports on Transmission Line assets. This involves researching, working with internal stakeholders to address errors, tracking progress, and helping to improve the process.

• Facility Rating Methodology: Tracking and reporting Transmission Line Engineering (TLE) rating information, as well as working with other internal company business units to ensure TLE meets deadlines.

• Project Closeout Compliance: Track status of capital project work from in-service dates through all closeout activities required, including deliverables from our contractors, engineering consultants, surveyors and vendors. Also verifying all records are updated, including regulatory reporting and facility rating information.

• Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., engineering, business administration, Business Analytics, data/computer science) preferred.

• Preferred experience in a compliance role within the utility industry.

• Strong understanding of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, with proficiency in data analysis and reporting.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely to a variety of audiences.

• Exceptional attention to detail and a strong commitment to accuracy.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and mitigate potential risks.

Description:

• This position is designated as hybrid and will require three days a week to be onsite - 40 hours plus OT as needed.

• Hiring Manager will consider candidates with more experience.

• Under some supervision, performs work activities and projects requiring technical knowledge in a safe, effective, efficient, and economic accomplishment of assigned objectives.

1. Coordinate work activities of others within work group, team or those external to the company including contractors, vendors as required to resolve routine technical tasks and field work activities.

2. Perform varied assignments demonstrating technical knowledge and analytical techniques to solution of problems or analysis.

4. Make decisions and contribute to team decision making and consensus building.

6. Work with others in both supplying information and seeking assistance as necessary.

7. Provide training and guidance to lower level employees as appropriate.

8. Pursue effective ways to protect and enhance the environment while providing reliable electricity at a competitive cost.
