National Account Manager - Business Development

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Develop knowledge of Marco products and services.

Adopt to Marco sales processes.

Provide a high level of motivation and customer focus, continuous improvement mentality required in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment

Effectively coordinates internally with members of the Engineering and Operations teams to communicate the scope of details related to a potential project.

Daily prospecting new clients, via phone/email, and identity qualified opportunities.

Develop and implement an effective sales strategy to drive sales.

Execute presentations using various approved Marco marketing formats, and with strong presentation skills

Maintain market awareness as it applies to the key sectors served by Marco.

Comply with company policies and legal guidelines.

Performs any other duties assigned by management

Required Skills/Abilities

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have the following knowledge and skills: Demonstrates a positive attitude, energy, and professionalism. As well as trustworthy, respectful, and demonstrate sound work ethics.

Proven outside sales experience

Strong time and territory management skills for maximizing customer interactions, generate leads and drive sales.

Ability to develop organizational awareness and ability to navigate organizational model to leverage resources

Strong consultative sales, communication, and interpersonal skills

Self-motivated, organized, and driven

Ability to troubleshoot problems

Ability to work independently and with a team

Willingness to travel

Persuasive and have excellent negotiation skills

Proficiency in CRM, and various MS Office programs required (Word, Excel, Power Point)

Awareness of market trends and product development, through resources and networking.

Exceptional interpersonal skills allowing for clear, concise written and verbal communication with internal and external audiences.

Education and/or Experience Minimum 5 years’ experience in direct sales of engineered products or solution-based selling preferred

Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Valid Driver’s License & Evidence of Ability to Insure

Travel requirement will be 20% - 50%, within the United States to existing and prospect customers, and various trade shows.

Physical Demands Prolonged periods sitting.

Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.

Occasionally lift, push, pull and/or move up to 25 pounds.
