National Sales Director - Construction Industry

Restoration Builders, Inc., one of the largest restoration contractors with a national presence and is seeking to add an experienced National Sales Director with experience in the construction or roofing Industry. The National Sales Director will hire, train, manage the Sales Team, and provide the necessary sales reports to leadership. This position is responsible for the overall sales of our company and provides ongoing support to our Sales Team and builds a healthy competitive atmosphere for success.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Manage the Regional Sales Team, with the primary objective of meeting or exceedingsales goals.
• Develop and update area business plan as needed, implementing all sales programs
• Build customer relationships and customer commitment through the use of professional
selling and communication skills and represent the company in the marketplace in a highly ethical and professional manner.
• Sets and manage sales targets to maximize growth. Assist in assessment of sales programs and make recommendations. Manage IC programs and sales call reporting.
• Lead team to deliver on targets through regular performance reviews and coaching. Identify high performers and associated competencies for success in career opportunities and professional development. Identify low performers and plans for improvement and appropriate documentation of continued low performance or improvement.
• Develop sales team engagement and performance to develop sales team to maximize sales and performance. Provide clear verbal and written direction to the field. Work with sales team on a regular basis providing development, coaching, and feedback and assessing implementation of strategies and direction. • Identify new business opportunities and seek competitive market intelligence in order to maximize growth potential.
• Prepare and work within an allocated expense budget.
• Recruit, hire and develop a competent Sales Team.
• Train the Sales Team in the field with training development.
• Adhere to company policies
Minimum Qualifications:
• Roofing and/or Construction Sales preferred
• 7-10 years of experience in a sales leadership role.
• Minimum of a Bachelors degree (or equivalent)
• Experience managing seasoned sales professionals
• Good understanding of roofing and/or construction industry
• Business and financial acumen managing internal budgets and understanding customer contracts
• Critical thinking, strategy shaping, and tactical execution
• Understanding of selling skills, Account management skills, negotiation skills
• Ability to manage customer relationships
• Ability to resolve conflicts with customers and employees with resolutions that are acceptable to all parties
• Experience creating and managing budgets and expense reporting
• Ability to analyze sales data and reports, cultivate insights and build strategic business plans
• Ability to negotiate deals and terms to company’s advantage
• Leadership skills (coaching, mentoring and talent development)
• Strong quantitative and problem-solving skills
• Well-versed in sales and marketing techniques
• Position directly supervises employees. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities may include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
• Driving and travel required.
• Proficiency in speaking, comprehending, reading and writing English is required.
Compensation: Salary Range $80,000 - $120,000 plus bonus plan
