Desktop Support Consultant

Job Description:

Provide desktop support for work group with 100 computers.

Responsibilities:

Provides day-to-day technical support to employees for network infrastructure internal desktop systems software and hardware.

Installs, configures, and troubleshoots desktop systems, workstations, servers, and network issues in a heterogenous environment.

Creates and implements maintenance procedures for shared workstation software and hardware (operating system, anti-virus, software update, etc).

Maintain passwords, data integrity, and file system security for the desktop environment.

Recommends hardware and software solutions, including new acquisitions and upgrades.

May participate in the development of information technology and infrastructure projects.

Provide feedback on processes and make recommendations on areas to improve.

Experience:

Comprehensive knowledge of computer systems and experience troubleshooting hardware and software.
