PBL has an immediate opening for a Client Account Specialist. The Client Account Specialist is an on-site entry level position that primarily supports testing department client account operations. This position works closely with Pacific BioLabs Testing Department Management and Client Services in ensuring that Client/Sponsor testing needs are met. The Client Account Specialist is not an outward “client facing” position however, may be called upon to interact directly with clients.
The Client Account Specialist reports to the Senior Manager, Client Services. The Client Account Specialist will work closely with Client Account Managers but will also be expected to communicate effectively with all members of the sales and technical staff, including Business Development.
The Client Account Specialist is expected to have a working knowledge and understanding of the testing department, as well as the services PBL offers. This position is integral to Pacific BioLabs and presents the employee with an opportunity to learn many aspects of the overall business operations of the company.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO
Perform sample verification at the time of receipt
Perform department log-in ensuring proper sample storage per client specifications and management of controlled substances
Prepare study files according to testing requirements and PBL SOP
Process and send samples for subcontracted work
Assist in protocol preparation for routine testing (if applicable)
Track status of department studies in meeting timelines for study completion and Report of Analysis delivery
Assist with facilitating completion of Client-related documents such as MSA’s, NDA’s, and SOW’s
Follow-up on non-binding estimates and formal quotes with Clients (if needed)
Prepare formal quotes for current and prospective clients at the instruction and guidance of a Client Account Manager (if needed)
Assist with billing processes that include review of billing sheets to ensure all testing costs have been captured
Assist in maintaining the prospect client database; including database searches and data exports
Participate in Client Account Manager meetings and quote review meetings (if requested)
Deliver the highest level of customer service supporting customer success
Requirements: BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Associates (2 yr) or Bachelors (4 yr) degree preferred; or high school degree/GED and 2-5 years of relevant experience.

TECHNICAL SKILLS
Excellent organizational skills; able to prioritize diverse tasks
Solid critical thinking skills; must be able to anticipate and solve problems in a systematic manner
Familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel and laboratory based data management systems
INTERPERSONAL SKILLS
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) required. Must be able to communicate complex ideas in easily understandable terms. Must enjoy meeting and interacting with people on a daily basis
Professional telephone manner essential
Handles confidential information with discretion
Works well with others and function as part of a team
Works with persons of diverse background
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL ABILITIES
All activities will be performed in a cGMP and GLP environment
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Ability to work weekends, when needed
Job requires mobile use of hands and arms
Must be able to work at a computer terminal for up to three hours at a time and for up to eight hours on a given day
The pay range for this position is $49,000 to $51,000 paid on hourly basis excluding overtime. The base pay offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. This position will be eligible for medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401k, and other benefits.
