Regional Sales Manager
The Regional Sales Manager is a key member of the Sales team and has primary responsibility for obtaining sales and gross margin results. This position is responsible for implementing innovative, integrated sales and marketing initiatives within an assigned region. The person will also be responsible for the growth and profitability of assigned sales territories including hiring, developing and managing individual Sales reps/ Associate Territory Managers.
What You’ll Do
Achieve growth-oriented revenue and gross margin goals and objectives
Lead and develop the sales team to support sales strategies and deliver exceptional, profitable sales growth and results
Recommend, obtain buy-in and implement any changes needed to align the sales organization with our overall strategy
Develop strong ties with key customers and accounts and be proactive in understanding the trends and issues likely to impact the market
Advise senior management team on sales directions, competitors and market trends
Create and sustain effective collaborative partnerships with all managers and departments
Analyze and provide market analysis to improve product service positioning and increase effectiveness of the sales team
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the regulatory environment surrounding Workers’ Compensation
Travel overnight within Regional Territory, requires four (4) days with direct reports per week; travel for regional and national meetings as needed and some travel of up to five (5) days as needed.
Managers must live within the Regional Territory that is managed.
What You’ll Need to Succeed Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relatable work experience
7 years of sales experience with demonstrated success as a Regional Sales Manager
Valid driver’s license and insurability
Knowledge of the workers’ compensation industry preferred
Proven track record of developing and effectively implementing sales strategies, business plans, forecasts and budgets and achieving sales results for a non-tangible product
Experience in establishing and building strong collaborative business partnerships
Strong history of relationship selling
Stellar presentation, listening, empathizing and collaboration skills
Expertise in time and territory management
Aptitude to work in a dynamic, entrepreneurial organization, both as a team player and as an individual performer
Capability to build and foster high-level strategic alliances with customers and within IWP
Able to perform extensive overnight travel which may include 4-5 nights each week
