National Sales Executive

Location: Columbia, SC, Charlotte, NC, MD or PA (Hybrid)
Position Purpose:
As the National Sales Executive, you will ensure that personal sales and assigned retention targets are met for National Alliance growth nationally, works with other departments to implement those opportunities, and manages the relationship with those new partners, consultants, and employer groups.
The ideal candidate should be well-versed in self-funded employer plans that are solution-oriented, with excellent presentation skills and attention to detail.
What You’ll Do:
Communicates effectively with sales prospects (groups, brokers, and carriers).
Monitors marketplace regularly to identify trends in sales, competitors.
Establishes and maintains distribution channel relations.
Communicates regularly and effectively with management regarding information pertinent to successful achievement of goals.
Monitors performance metrics and distributes to Management.
Completes all reporting requirements as outlined by senior management within specified time periods.
To Qualify for This Position, You’ll Need:
Bachelor's degree.
6 years-sales experience or equivalent military experience in grade E4 or above.
Comprehensive knowledge of products, procedures, systems, marketing applicable to Third Party Administration -- both in terms of self-funded group administration and back-office carrier administration.
Basic understanding of enrollment/underwriting guidelines.
Insurance sales management experience or health care sales management
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and make sound decisions.
Excellent judgment skills.
Strong customer service, organizational, presentation skills with proven ability to manage projects/work teams.
Analytical or critical thinking skills.
Ability to persuade, negotiate, or influence others.
Ability to handle confidential or sensitive information with discretion.
Ability to direct, motivate, and assess performance of others.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, or other word processing/spreadsheet software.
Insurance License or the ability to acquire within 4 months of date hired.
What we Prefer you to have:
3 years-proven insurance sales management experience or health care sales management experience or equivalent military experience in grade E4 or above.
Previous budget experience.
In-depth knowledge of competitor products and guidelines.
CEBS, CLU, FLMI, or other applicable designation.
