About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President of Philanthropy to lead the design and execution of an effective advancement program. The successful candidate will be responsible for increasing the number of donors, aligning with the strategic plan, and engaging in a major capital campaign. This role involves managing a multidisciplinary team, transforming professionals into an effective unit, and attracting multi-million dollar gifts. The VPP will also manage a portfolio of high-level donors, collaborate with Institute leadership, and develop strong external partnerships. A dynamic leadership style, a strong track record in securing major gifts, and the ability to mentor and motivate are essential for this position.Candidates for the Vice President of Philanthropy role should have a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 10 years of experience in senior positions, preferably in health sciences, with a focus on team supervision, strategic planning, and capital campaigns. Experience in social media technologies for philanthropy, a proven ability to manage a significant campaign, and a record of leadership and accountability are required. The role demands exceptional communication skills, proficiency in fundraising software, and a commitment to integrity and professionalism. The VPP will be expected to ensure the highest standard of donor relations, including comprehensive research on prospective donors and the maintenance of a transparent fundraising data management system.
