About the Role
The Company is seeking an Executive Director to lead the organization in the development and execution of a new strategic plan, with a strong focus on fundraising and collaboration with the osteopathic community in the five-state service area. The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall strategic and operational management of the Foundation, including program expansion, and will work closely with the Board of Directors to support their leadership and development. Key responsibilities for the Executive Director include fundraising and investment management, engaging with key leaders and stakeholders in the osteopathic community, and building a membership program to increase contributions. The role also involves collaboration and support for the osteopathic state associations, as well as overseeing the financial management of the endowment and the Foundation's administrative functions.Applicants for the Executive Director position should have a minimum of 5 years' of fundraising experience, with a preference for those with a background in medical, osteopathic, or healthcare fundraising. A leadership role in a nonprofit, including board management and operations, for at least 3 years is required. The ideal candidate will have experience with major gifts, endowments, and planned giving programs, and the ability to work independently. Experience with membership programs is preferred. The role is full-time and remote, with the expectation of attending osteopathic colleges, conferences, and other events as approved by the Board. The Executive Director will be instrumental in the Foundation's growth and in promoting a greater understanding of osteopathic principles and practices within the community.
