Position Summary: We are seeking an organized, highly motivated and collaborative thinker to guide the next phase of our program evolution. This individual will focus on high-level mission advancement, building partnerships, fundraising, and creating an inclusive culture. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in development and fundraising, as well as proven management experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership and Management: Provide visionary leadership to Amala, ensuring alignment with the organizations mission and strategic goals.
Oversee financial health and manage two director level employees.
Foster a positive and inclusive organizational culture that promotes teamwork, professional growth, and a strong sense of community.
Development and Fundraising: Develop and implement comprehensive fundraising strategies to secure financial support from diverse sources, including individuals, corporations, foundations, and government grants.
Cultivate and maintain relationships with major donors, stakeholders, and community partners.
Lead grant writing and reporting efforts, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
Plan and execute fundraising events and campaigns to increase donor engagement and revenue.
Community Engagement and Advocacy: Serve as the primary spokesperson and advocate for Amala
Build and maintain strong relationships with community leaders, organizations, and partners to enhance collaboration and impact.
Strategic Planning and Evaluation: Lead the development and implementation of strategic plans to advance the organizations mission and goals.
Establish and monitor key performance indicators to measure the effectiveness and impact of programs and initiatives.
Ensure ongoing evaluation and improvement of programs to meet the evolving needs of the community.
Financial and Operational Oversight: Develop and manage the organizations budget, ensuring financial stability and sustainability.
Ensure efficient and effective use of resources to maximize impact and achieve organizational goals.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in development and fundraising, with a proven track record of securing significant funding.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior management role, preferably within a nonprofit organization.
Strong understanding of mental health and wellness issues and a passion for community-building.
Exceptional leadership, strategic thinking, and organizational skills.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building abilities.
Demonstrated ability to develop and implement successful fundraising strategies.
Experience in grant writing and management.
Financial acumen and experience managing budgets and financial operations.

Compensation: Amala offers a competitive salary and benefits package commensurate with experience. The salary range for this position is between $85-90k based on experience.
