We are looking for an IT Applications Specialist who has a passion for service improvement and strong customer service skills to support all Gerflor USA companies.
The IT Applications Specialist oversees all aspects of software life cycles including installation, maintenance, upgrades, customizations and 3rd party integrations, focusing on developing a new business application environment. The IT Applications Specialist will provide IT technical guidance and support to a growing company with international reach. The position will participate in Business Analysis, Database Management and application development efforts to replace legacy systems.
Responsibilities Include:
• Provide second/third level technical support to all users of Company applications through coordination with Help Desk/Support and other IT departments.
• Accountable for the quality and performance of applications within scope; ensuring future demand from growth and projects is understood and factored into capacity plans for all associated systems.
• Provide training to educate staff on how to use applications and technology tools effectively.
• Develop, maintain, integrate business-critical applications such as customer portals, reporting software, data warehouse. Includes in-house developed software with technologies (.Net, PHP, JavaScript).
• ERP system configuration, user maintenance, audits, data integrity, solution building and break/fix, including various legacy, and recent ERP system with a focus on Business Central.
• Serve as Business Systems Analyst (BSA) to support, design, test and coordinate the implementation of process modules within the network including satellite locations.
• Serve as SQL Server Database Administrator (DBA), responsible for providing technical support for the database environment related to the ERPs.
• Work with the other IT departments in the design, management and monitoring of Disaster Recover and Business Continuity tools and procedures to ensure the security of the company’s data.
• Continually works with systems, vendors, staff to improve manual processes with automation.
• Provide regular and accurate management reporting on performance of applications within scope.
• Be an ambassador for IT, work across the business with effective communication on IT matters and build relationships with teams to ensure effective dialogue within and between departments.
• Travel to office locations (up to 25%)
Requirements: BA/BS or equivalent education and experience in Information Technology, or related discipline.
5 years of experience IT Application Support.
3 years of experience as a Business Analyst
3 years of experience with Business Central
Knowledge of process and project management.
Experience in object-oriented programming experience
Experience with databases, particularly Microsoft SQL Server.
Experience of managing 3rd parties and 3rd party SaaS.
Exposure to Private Cloud infrastructures running on VMware/vSphere.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent customer facing/customer service skills.
Excellent prioritization, time management and organizational skills.
