Loan Document Specialist
3 - 5 Month Contract
Remote - Greater Chicago Area
Large Fortune 500 Bank
Responsibilities:
Process paid documents in accordance with financial institutions/customer's guidelines.
Collect state-specific documentation relating to insurance, real estate, title policies, and UCCs.
Forward collateral releases and paid notices to appropriate parties.
Utilize the internal document repository system and Microsoft Excel daily.
Respond in a professional and timely manner to communication from customers, title companies, vehicle dealerships, other financial institutions, etc.
Perform research to satisfy customer or third-party requests and follow up on incomplete documentation.
Follow up on return mail items from recording offices.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required
Experience with consumer, commercial, or residential mortgage documentation
Skills:
Strong typing skills required
Good PC proficiency including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
Strong team player with a willingness to help others
