The primary duty of this position will be to plan and carry out direct sales activities to attain new accounts in accordance with agreed sales and business plans. Work with Branch Manager and Vice President of Sales to grow revenue and exceed targets by promoting and selling our business, and driving sales activity through a designated territory. This position will require regular travel outside of the place of business.
Your Duties Develop new and prospective customers while maintaining existing accounts
Assist Vice President of Sales & Branch Managers in the preparation and negotiation of bids, RFQ's & quotations with customers, suppliers, and overseas agents
Co-ordinate and attend sales visits both in the USA and with overseas partners for aiding business development if applicable
Compliance with all regulations prescribed by USA Customers/ IATA/ TSA/ FMC and other governing bodies
Ensure that any client entertainment activities are carried out in a professional and responsible manner to ensure the continuing good name of Gebruder Weiss USA
Ensure customer requests related to commercial activities are completed in a timely manner at the highest service level
Monitor competitor activity and industry trends
Update and maintain all relevant information about customers and sales activities on CRM
Attend training to develop relevant knowledge, techniques, and skills if applicable
Fulfill all identified responsibilities consistently with minimal supervision required
Demonstrates the ability to interact effectively through speech, writing, and professional presentation in order to deliver successful business results
Displays good interdepartmental relationships and ensures customers, suppliers, and overseas agents needs are a primary function of one's actions and decisions
Apply different techniques to sell Gebruder Weiss USA services within the market place and are comfortable with pursuing leads and new contacts
Understanding of key financial principles that reflect and drive profitability, and ensures the department achieve its financial and quality objectives
Sets and meets Sales goals and objectives in accordance with company guidelines in key performance areas and agreed key performance indicators (sales calls, visits, and new business)
Your Profile High School Graduate
Bachelor's degree or certification preferred
Knowledge of related computer applications and reporting tools
Familiar with all freight forwarding procedures, products, regulations and departments
2-5 years of industry related experience requred
Proven Sales and Business selling ability and success
