Job Description Job Description Position Overview
Account Executive is responsible for sales, distribution, and merchandising of products in all retail stores with a primary goal of increasing sales. Must be able to develop a sales plan and goal that meets with manufacture budgets and goals. Meet with all accounts and develop a presentation for upcoming promotions and New Items.
Essential Job Functions
Achieve annual manufacturer and S&K sales goals and forecasts, including annual volume, distribution, pricing, and fund management
Develop and review sales plans with buyers and prospective buyers
Create monthly objectives for Territory Managers in Go Spot Check
Work with Territory Managers at store level twice monthly
Work with Territory Managers at one N/I per quarter
Work with General Manager and Sales Director to create promotional planner for calendar year
Review sales quarterly with Sales Director
Maintain an updated Promotional Information Sheet for each customer
Communicate clearly with S&K Office, clients, distributors, retailers and buyers regarding products, i.e. price, pack, and UPC changes, and new, replacement, and discontinued items
Perform scheduled audit of stores to ensure proper planogram integrity
Maintain a current price list for all manufacturers
Must participate in manufacturer resets and store resets
Meet with Buyer quarterly on upcoming promotion and New Items
Develop forecast for promotional and non-promotional items
Assist with inventory management; slow moving, discontinued, and overstock resolution
Ensure shipment of all new items within three weeks of receipt in warehouse
Skills and Competency Requirements
Must possess effective selling skills and techniques
Must communicate clearly with buyers, clients, and customers.
Knowledge of retail merchandising and marketing policy
Reading comprehension in work related documents
Active and effective listening and analytical skills
Must have a firm grasp of the English language and effective verbal and written communication skills
Effective time management skills
Ability to multi-task
Social Perceptiveness and ability to relate to diverse group of co-workers and customers.
Must be a licensed driver and be able to operate a motor vehicle.
