ABOUT OUR CLIENT:
Our client is a fast-growing biotech company in the Bay Area who is in search of an Interim Accounting Director. The Accounting Director will oversee general accounting duties like clinical trial accruals, journal entries, and reviewing month end account reconciliations while also assisting with SEC reporting and ensuring compliance.
This role will be contract in nature and is slated to last 2+ months.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Oversee and review clinical trial accruals to ensure accuracy and compliance with industry standards and company policies.
Prepare and review SEC filings, ensuring all reports are accurate, timely, and comply with regulatory requirements.
Maintain and review SOX controls, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and internal policies.
Conduct thorough reviews of account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Provide hands-on support in the day-to-day accounting operations, focusing predominantly on review-level tasks to ensure financial integrity and accuracy.
QUALIFICATIONS:
8+ years of accounting experience.
BA degree in accounting or finance.
NetSuite experience required.
Clinical accruals experience required.
High attention to detail with a willingness to review and research data.
Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
Customer Service orientation and ability to manage upwards.
Positive and solutions-oriented attitude.
Coachable and desirous of growing personally and professionally.
Adaptable to the evolving needs of our client and their circumstances.
