What you'll do

As a Director of Monetization Strategy, you will lead and develop a specialized team dedicated to refining and driving monetization and pricing strategies for our strategic audiences. This includes the enterprise segment, partner channel and our services and support offerings.. In this pivotal role, you will engage with executives across the company, maximizing your expertise to drive growth. Your collaboration with the Enterprise Sales teams, Partner team, Customer Services team and Finance teams will be instrumental in optimizing Docusign’s pricing strategies.

As the manager of a dedicated team of professionals, your leadership will extend across various functions, fostering a collaborative space that aligns with our company goals and values.

This position is a people manager role reporting to the Vice President, Pricing and Market Strategy.

Responsibility

Develop and implement comprehensive pricing strategies targeted at enterprise customers and partner channels including ISVs, Resellers, and Strategic Partners to drive business growth

Develop the monetization strategy for new services offerings in response to customer segment, product, and regional requirements

Develop business cases to support new and ongoing investment in services offerings, including analysis of competitive industry situations, pricing recommendations, gross margins, and operational impact

Gain a deep understanding of customer needs across the above areas, identifying strategies to create customer value, and tactics to differentiate competitively through innovative packaging and pricing

Conduct detailed pricing analysis to stay ahead of market trends, understand customer behavior, and navigate the competitive landscape

Collaborate closely with the Enterprise sales teams, Partner team, Customer Services team and Finance teams to implement proactive strategies that encourage product adoption and facilitate growth

Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of pricing strategies, adjusting as needed to increase profitability and market share

Keep abreast of industry trends and regulatory changes that could influence pricing strategies

Provide thought leadership and insights on packaging and pricing best practices and innovative approaches

Job Designation

Hybrid: Employee divides their time between in-office and remote work. Access to an office location is required. (Frequency: Minimum 2 days per week; may vary by team but will be weekly in-office expectation)

What you bring

Basic

5+ years experience in a technology SaaS company/product suite, preferably in strategy, pricing and packaging, monetization, or product marketing roles

Preferred

12+ years related business experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 8+ years related experience with a Master’s Degree, in marketing, business strategy, pricing, or other related functional experience

2+ years of people management experience

Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional projects and excel in ambiguous environments

Excellent communication and leadership skills to influence senior leadership

A strong track record of working across diverse partners to define and implement pivotal initiatives

Critical thinking with a bias for action and execution excellence

Passion for coaching, mentoring, and developing people

Wage Transparency

Based on applicable legislation, the below details pay ranges in the following locations:

California: $171,500 - $277,025 base salary

Washington: $164,800 - $242,225 base salary

This role is also eligible for bonus, equity and benefits .
