We are looking for a Senior Product Marketing Manager with two key responsibility areas: 1) Driving performance measurement and growth across Azure Solution Plays 2) Ownership of specific Azure Solution Play(s) from a marketing perspective.
Team Mission
Centralize marketing and act as the Direct Responsible Individual (DRIs) for Azure Solution Plays. Solution Plays are prioritized Go-To-Market (GTM) motions executed through marketing and sales organizations to help customers achieve critical business outcomes.
Team Goal/Overview
Ensure success of Azure Solution Plays (measured via Azure consumption and journey KPIs – Key Performance Indicators) via consistently excellent GTM strategy/execution. This is a rare and awesome high-impact growth opportunity to support the newly created Azure Solution Play Marketing team with data-driven marketing and business insights to optimize our GTM efforts. Azure Solution Plays span several businesses -- Infrastructure, Data & AI, and Digital & App Innovation -- providing a breadth of exposure.
This team member will join a highly motivated and diverse team of talented individuals helping to measure and optimize the performance of our Solution Plays. You will be responsible for measuring and reporting on the key outcomes and drivers of our business with a focus on common success metrics. You will participate in the design of data-driven processes and systems to define, monitor, and improve the performance of our Solution Plays. Responsibilities
Planning, designing, developing and maintaining metrics and scorecards for each solution play, as well as key performance indicators throughout the customer journey
Analyzing and reporting on the performance of Solution Plays, identifying insights, gaps, and opportunities for improvement
Drive consistency to the performance tracking and reporting for the multiple Solution Plays collaborating with cross-functional teams to align objectives, strategies, and best practices
Providing insights and recommendations to optimize Solution Play execution and impact
Working with right stakeholders to automate metric/KPI tracking and reporting
Supporting recurring business review forums with the needed metrics, insights for executive decision makers
Acting as DRI for a defined Solution Play(s) working across marketing and sales stakeholders
National and/or international travel may be required.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 5+ years experience in business
OR Master's Degree in in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 3+ years experience in business
OR equivalent experience.
5+ years of experience in product management or product marketing roles.
Preferred Qualifications
7+ years of experience in product management or product marketing roles
Must have deep outside-in empathy for customer experience and success
Comfort with data-driven analysis and interpretation: Including comfort/felicity with reporting platforms, ability to detect trends and anomalies in data and inform problem diagnosis in a holistic way across all stages of the customer/sales funnel
Ability to synthesize different sources of information to uncover insights and next priority actions to drive the business forward. Spot problem areas or opportunities within and across Solution Plays and frame up proposals to address them working at a quick pace.
Be able to break through hurdles and create new opportunities for the team by always pushing to learn the details and understand the root causes for issues.
Exceptional collaborator on multi-faceted issues that span multiple groups, with the ability to forge relationships that drive results
Ability to move others across organizational boundaries to a desired business outcome when there is no clear “ownership” of an issue.
Familiarity with analyzing business trends using a data-driven approach and appropriate tools
Need to have a flexible can-do attitude, be comfortable with ambiguity, and initiative to proactively scope and execute projects on an end to end basis.
Excellent written and spoken communication skills at all altitudes, with actionable clarity and One Microsoft transparency. Including maturity to handle executive interactions as part of our business rhythm.
Product Marketing IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $101,200 - $194,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $130,000 - $213,200 per year.
