Job Description The Investment Buyer has a lead role in executing Video plans across the full Video eco-system (Linear TV, FEP, VOD, OTT, Mobile, Connected TV, etc), developed by their Supervisor and Director. This including negotiating scatter needs, analyzing the need for ADU weight, and implementing allocation and billing tools to facilitate smooth transition from buy to air. This role also provides training and guidance of the Associates in all aspects of their responsibilities.
Video Activation
Participates in the Video Activation Process across multiple clients: Registers and negotiates budgets by partner
Create recommendation documents
Develop and deliver POV/position papers on key issues/opportunities
Oversee brand allocations and corporate ownership
Oversee weekly weights and tracking
Check that schedules are input into the system correctly
Review/assist in post buy analysis
Analyze ADU packages
Provide support for Added Value executions
Additional Day-to-Day Tasks
Manages workload of and helps train Associate
Leads trafficking process leading up to campaign launch
Weekly reporting and scheduling needs
Manages added value deliverables
Works with Associate on any day to day client or partner needs
Works with Associate and Supervisor on post buy needs
Consistently keeps team “in the loop” on status of projects
Attends client meetings as requested, and provides timely follow-up to any internal/client requests
Qualifications Demonstrated Skills and Knowledge
Working knowledge of all basic media systems/tools/processes (ie. MediaOcean, Prisma, Spectra/Media Bank)
Experience with all areas of National and Local Video, including Linear, OLV, CTV, Addressable
Solid listening skills and takes notes during meetings, disseminates notes and follow-up as appropriate
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing, and can concisely explain complicated ideas and changes/differences in results.
Comfortable with presenting, in person and virtually, to client and internal teams.
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously, while delegating and managing work of associate appropriately
Ability to work in a matrix (multi-supervisory) environment; can multi-task, manage one’s time, and demonstrate personal organization and ability to meet deadlines (strong work ethic)
Adherence to agency procedures (on-time and accurate timesheets, GDPs, 360 feedback)
Expertise in Microsoft Power Point, Excel and Word
Education and Experience
1+ years of National Broadcast media buying expertise
Pharmaceutical industry a plus
