POSITION: Director of Operations
Job Purpose: The Director of Operations is responsible for ensuring that all departments of the company are functioning in sync and tracking toward the collective business goals.
Responsibilities:
• Understand the CEO’s high level vision and translate it into clear staffing strategy and actionable performance goals for each department.
• Keep each department accountable for their budget responsibilities.
• Work with HR to hire and develop excellent personnel, and implement staff evaluation parameters.
• Manage Legal team (Trademarks, Software Agreements, Consultants, etc.) and their budgets.
• Define and deploy Best Practices for the organization, making sure internal and external processes are established.
• Collaborate with Logistics and Planning to optimize stock levels for wholesale and e-commerce channels, speed to market, and gross product margins.
• Create, own and drive the Product Creation calendar from concept to final sign-off, ensuring that ex-factory dates do not push and jeopardize deliveries.
• Identify technology solutions for the organization, including evaluating new software and vendor providers - negotiating deals and contract terms, and overseeing the implementation.
• Lead bi-weekly leadership meetings -- communicate with Planning, Sales, Customer Service, IT, Fulfillment, Production, and Merchandising to provide strategic direction as required.
• Collaborate with eCommerce Manager and DTC Customer Service team to improve Retention drive CX excellence.
• Support the company’s Retail rollout, leading each Store Manager and ensuring that stores are opened and staffed efficiently.
• Oversee the Legal Department, Retail team, Office Manager, all project management and new business projects.
Qualifications:
• 8 + years of experience in operations in fashion. • Working knowledge of Netsuite or similar.
• Minimum 5+ years as a manager or higher in high-growth organizations.
• Positive attitude, be results-driven, and get hands-on.
• Well-defined personal leadership style and clear best practices.
• Proven background in scaling an inventory-based business.
• Experience in DTC, Retail and Wholesale required.
• Strong working knowledge of the industry and brand landscape.
• Experience working with a high-performing team in a fast-paced environment.
