About the Position
The Director of Operations directs and manages all facets of Purchasing, Production, Distribution, Warehousing, and overall operational activities including budgeting, sourcing, co-packer management, inventory management, COGS and cost reduction opportunities, production planning, compliance with all certifications and regulations, import/export processes, strategic planning, and team/people management.
About You
Minimum of 10 years of experience in Supply Chain and Demand Planning, Inventory Planning and Management, Procurement, Co-Packer Management
3+ years’ experience recruiting, training, developing, and managing a small team.
Ability to meet the requirements of a fast-paced environment with multiple demands and priorities in a growing business.
Experience with planning and master data maintenance.
Strong process-oriented mindset that can work within the framework of change.
Understanding of food and/or beverage manufacturing
Excellent financial and analytical skills that enable accurate forecasting of inventories, budgets, and cash flow.
Experience with NetSuite (or similar system).
Have a problem-solving mindset.
Great communication skills and proactivity
Collaborative leadership style.
Knowledge and passion around nutrition, health, and wellness.
Bachelor’s degree in business or related field or equivalent experience is required.
Thrive with remote work and are available for occasional travel.
Primary Responsibilities
Create scalable operational efficiencies, drive processes, interface with critical partners.
Hold the team accountable for delivering against business goals, metrics, milestones, timelines, deliverables, and budgets.
Develop strategic partnerships and relationships with clients, vendors, and others.
Support the yearly and quarterly business planning process. Help establish strategic plans, future product roadmaps and operating plans.
Responsible for ensuring our facilities and infrastructure can meet demand with qualified secondary suppliers to ensure business continuity.
As a key member of the Company’s Leadership Team, collaborative effectively with cross-functional peers.
Responsibilities will include:
Inventory management, production planning + COGS reduction.
Co-packer, 3PL and vendor management
Optimization & driving manufacturing efficiency.
Salary : $135,000 – 160,000 per year, plus bonus, depending on experience and location.
