At Diverzify+ and our family of brand partners, we believe our associates are at the heart of our organization. Our Account Executives provide a key service for Diverzify+ as an enterprise business and our family of brands. They are responsible for guiding our customers in selecting and purchasing the appropriate option in a wide variety of available flooring types offered from our family of brands. They may deal with bulk customers or large corporations looking for the perfect flooring design for their property. In this position, you will be responsible for daily sales calls on existing customers and the development of new customers. The emphasis will be on providing turn-key commercial floor covering services to Facilities Managers, Architects & Designers, General Contractors, and Property Managers. Our Account Executives equip themselves with in-depth knowledge of flooring styles and basic installation methods and present products to architects, designers, and other end users. You will work with design firms to produce samples for specific projects and analyze all leads provided by sales management. Additionally, responsibilities include budgeting, estimating, providing value engineering cost-saving ideas to the customer, extensive project management, and coordination of construction projects that range from small to large.
Here’s what you can expect…
Compile a list of prospective customers for use as sales leads.
Work with suppliers, architects, designers, building owners, tenants, and contractors to choose products that fit their budget.
Cultivate relationships with general contractors, end users, and architects that have used our products and services.
Give presentations to architects, designers, and end users to educate them on the flooring industry and how Spectra can be a benefit to them on their projects. Presentations should also include information about the installation and maintenance of the flooring.
Submit quotes with material and labor pricing to existing, new or potential clients.
Work with President and Sales Manager to ensure Contracts from Customers are accurate and in line with estimate/proposal inclusions/exclusions
Work with the project team to coordinate RFI's & submittals, order materials, and coordinate deliveries, labor, and installation with Customer
Follow through by visiting job sites during project commencement to ensure quality control and timely installation
Create and submit cost proposals for changes in work during the commencement of the project
Manage projects in conjunction with the project coordinator or installation supervisor.
Help solve problems and ensure that the jobs are installed properly.
Work with the project team to ensure change orders, billings, and close-out documentation are submitted regularly and kept current
Job Requirements
A High School Diploma/GED is required (Bachelor’s Degree is Highly desired)
Previous sales experience or building science/construction management or advanced commercial floor installation experience is required.
Must have a valid driver's license and be able to operate a motorized vehicle.
Must be able to read and comprehend blueprints
2+ years of experience in channel distribution sales
2+ years of outside B2B sales experience
Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
Strong math skills calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, percentages, area, and volume.
Willing to travel up to 35% of the time may be needed and attendance at industry and trade shows may be possible.
This is a full-time, in-person position, non-exempt from overtime pay. This position is expected to pay $50,000 to $75,000 yearly. Salary will be commensurate with the final candidate’s qualification and experience, including skills, knowledge, relevant education, and certifications, as well as aligned with the internal peer group. Offer can include commission incentives depending on the candidate's experience.
