About the Role
The Executive Director of Development at the company's Law School is a senior management role with a primary focus on overseeing all development programs and activities. This includes the responsibility for creating and executing a coordinated fundraising program, collaborating with various stakeholders within the school and the central development and alumni relations team, and managing a team of major and annual giving officers. The successful candidate will be expected to establish strategic fundraising priorities, set annual goals, lead donor engagement and stewardship efforts, and manage a portfolio of principal, major, and planned giving prospects. Additionally, the role involves playing an active part in the school's Board of Advisors, including meeting participation and candidate cultivation for board membership.Candidates for the Executive Director position must have a Bachelor's degree (Master's degree highly regarded) and a minimum of 7 to ten years of fundraising or related experience. Strong leadership skills, the ability to motivate teams, and a proven track record in program development and management are essential. The role requires the ability to develop sophisticated fundraising strategies, excellent communication skills, and the willingness to engage in occasional travel and work flexible hours. The Executive Director will also be responsible for assessing and managing the professional development needs of the team, as well as proposing and managing team-related budgets.
