Brief Description Vice President of Operations—ABA Centers of Virginia/DC Arlington, VA and DC Regions About ABA Centers Of Virginia/DC ABA Centers of Virginia/DC is a healthcare startup experiencing hyper-growth while revolutionizing the autism care field. We provide ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) therapy and diagnostic services to our clients and families in our centers, in homes, and in the community.We are currently in 4 states with 11 clinic locations, and our roadmap will bring us to 10 states and more than 50 clinics over the next 12-24 months. We have the resources and talent usually found at a more mature organization, including fully staffed teams to support IT, accounting, and clinic growth initiatives. If you're up to the challenge, we want to hear from you!The Vice President of Operations will manage the operations of the Virginia/DC region with the potential to support additional areas in the future. This position will report to the Chief Operating Officer and be at the forefront of helping us grow and successfully operate our clinics. What You'll Do Conduct business operations in alignment with mission, vision, and core values
Manage overall operations across multiple states with an effective business strategy
Oversee all performance, strategic growth, regulatory compliance/licensing, and insurance accreditation needs of clinics in the region
Develop and manage the achievement objectives for each clinic with regard to operations, finance, clinical matters, and strategic growth of services
Review and manage operating metrics and KPIs established for the region and individual centers, including recruitment, new client intake, scheduled treatment hours, billable hours for clinicians, and other measures
Review missed services reports and work with clinic Executive Directors to manage variance from scheduled hours
Make robust, data-driven decisions that elevate financial and operational performance
Coordinate leadership training for Executive Directors
Collaborate with Clinical Directors and our Training & Professional Development department to monitor clinical quality metrics, schedule training sessions, and evaluate program effectiveness
Convene regularly scheduled one-on-one and Executive Director team meetings to develop, communicate and implement growth strategies
Coordinate with functional departments (Clinical, Admissions, Marketing, IT, HR, Training, and Billing) to ensure that management teams in the region are properly supported and that the regional teams are providing critical information and deliverables back to the functional resource groups
Participate in regional administrative meetings, workgroups, and best-practices sessions
Help with community outreach efforts to develop potential referral sources along with the Regional Director of Clinical Outreach and center management teams
Advise Executive Directors regarding issues concerning clients, caregivers, and/or team members that may arise in centers
Requirements Education, Work-Experience, and Other Requirements MBA or Master's in Healthcare of Public Administration
10+ years of operations experience
Healthcare experience
Demonstrated track record of financial success and exemplary clinical care
Multi-state experience
Proven experience as a regional director of operations or similar role preferred
Budget-management experience
Ability to travel 75% for site visits within region
Ability to maintain clean background/drug screenings and driving record
Expertise Needed Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
Strong business development and community-based relationship building
Ability to provide effective guidance and leadership to diverse groups of individuals
Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
Excellent organization, time management, and attention to detail
Judgment and problem-solving skills
Self-motivation and a “can-do” attitude with an entrepreneurial spirit and a desire to take on an increasing level of responsibility
