Job Title: Estimator
Employment Type: Contract

Salary: $65/hr.
The selected Estimator will play a crucial role in the integration of clean energy, such as Offshore Wind, Large Scale Batteries, and Hydroelectric, into electrical systems. Additionally, the Estimator will support large-scale infrastructure projects across our service territory.
Key Responsibilities: Develop complex, multi-discipline conceptual, authorization, and appropriation cost estimates for multi-discipline substation construction projects and transmission facilities.
Utilize preliminary work scopes, drawings, and sketches to create accurate estimates.
Evaluate alternative designs and contribute to the optimum design selection.
Collaborate with the team to ensure estimates align with project goals and objectives.
Qualifications: Strong background in engineering, design, and construction of substations and transmission facilities.
Prior experience in developing electrical, mechanical, and/or civil cost estimates for substations and/or transmission projects.
Familiarity with the capital budget process and utility economics for the preparation of authorization and appropriation estimates is preferred.
Excellent organizational, teamwork, leadership, and interpersonal communication skills.

Proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Project/Office and estimating software and databases.
Familiarity with local, state, national, and industry codes and standards are preferred.
